We are breathing new life into our historic venue and building more dynamic spaces for all to enjoy
We are refurbishing our Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre to improve your experiences at our ground-breaking events. Whilst restoring long-lost heritage features, we are also building a dedicated creative space, a delightful street-facing café and public spaces where you can relax and enjoy the iconic architecture at the heart of our city.
A match fund grant of up to £250,000 from The Roddick Foundation will support Build Brighton Dome.
The Roddick Foundation, co-founded by Anita & Gordon Roddick in 1997, is an independent and progressive organisation dedicated to supporting visionary organisations and individuals who show leadership and results in making this a more just and kind world. Dame Anita Roddick, a Brighton businesswoman, human rights activist and environmental campaigner, who is best known as the co-founder of The Body Shop was a trustee of Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival before her passing in 2007.
This project is the first step in a longer journey to reunite the Royal Pavilion Estate and create a bolder, bigger and more resilient world-class centre for heritage, culture and the performing arts.
Together, we aim to protect the future heritage of this nationally important Estate, to boost its ability to contribute to Brighton’s economy and cultural tourism.
